I have finally reached the 6 month mark. It’s really weird that in 3+ months our lives will be changed forever. But Jesse and I can’t wait to have a little one to raise and enjoy life with. She’s already taken over the house with all the stuff I’ve been collecting for her. She’s definitely made her mark already in this family.
At this point I can feel Baby Wardette kicking away all the time now. She must be getting really big! Jesse has finally felt her kick. It was something that I wanted him to feel so badly. It happened while I was sleeping and he came to bed late. He put his hand on belly and then she kicked! Too bad I wasn’t awake for it, but he’s now had his private bonding moment with her.
Since I know it’s a little girl, I can start looking at items for the nursery. I have been able to a few items that I’m super excited about.
She also bought these cute little mirror butterflies to reflect the light from the chandelier.
The second purchase made was the fabric for her crib quilt.
I think I’m going to start making the quilt soon. I bought this sewing book by Amy Butler called: Amy Butler's Little Stitches for Little Ones. This is where I got the quilt pattern from. I won’t make bumpers due to the whole SIDS thing. But I will make a crib skirt for sure.
I love this fabric because it’s mature, pretty, and has lots of colours to choose from now to paint her room with. I’m still going to buy some other fun fabrics for pillows, crib skirt, etc...
This Tuesday I have my first OB/GYN appointment with Dr. Cvetic in Milton. I've heard great things about her! I can’t wait to discuss more details about the pregnancy with her.
