22 Weeks

This week I wanted to thank Sherry and Adrian for the amazing baby girl stuff they donated to baby Wardette.  Jesse and I really appreciate it!  I think I'm definitely set for the first 6 months at least!  Thank you thank you thank you!

Also this week I read Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella in lightening speed.  It was such a cute book!  And made me so excited to meet our little daughter.  I highly recommend this book.

I've been feeling pretty good, but now I'm noticing that I absolutely cannot stand for too long.  If I'm standing for 10 minutes or so my lower back kills.  But that's it for complaints!  Not bad!

I noticed that I am gaining a bit of weight.  It's a race between my butt and belly right now.  So far, I think my belly is winning... thank god!  My plan for this week is to hit the gym 3 times a week and do some brisk walks on the treadmill and some light weight lifting.  We'll see how that goes. :oS

I'm starting to look at some baby bedding, so I'll leave you with some options we're looking at.  Let me know what you like best!

Option 1: Gillian

Option 2: Love Bird

Option 3: Skip Hop Vine

21 Weeks...5+ months

A discovery I've made since being pregnant is that my lactose intolerance, that I suffered from for at least 15 years, has completely disappeared!  I had heard that some diseases subside or completely disappear when you're pregnant, but I never thought that it would happen to me.  This is a blessing but also a curse.  I'm eating lots of ice cream now.  I've been deprived for years, so it's hard to stay away.

Another discovery I made was that Jesse's insurance covers a breast pump up to $200.  So I bought the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump.  I loooove it when I find out about freebies. :)

Anyway, overal I'm feeling ok.  But man my nose is so stuffy!!!!!!

20 Weeks... halfway there!

It's a GIRL!
We were able to get 100% confirmation from the ultrasound technician that I am in fact having a girl.  I was even able to see her "parts".  She is definitely not modest. :)  Jesse and I were slightly shocked (coming from a family of all boys, who knew he could produce a girl!), but so very happy.  She is definitely going to be daddy's little girl.  I can't wait to start decorating her nursery!

Regarding names, we're not going to share the name we choose for her.  We don't want to sway anyone else's decision who are also expecting.  So we'll decide in private and share it with everyone once she's born.  That also means my mom can't bug me about the names.  Haha. :)

So now I'm halfway there.  Halfway to seeing what she looks like and still no real complaints.
Slightly achy here and there, but nothing major to complain about.

Here's our little girl:

I'm going to start seeing Dr. Cvetic (my OB/GYN) on Nov 9th.  Looks lilke I'll be needing another ultrasound as my placenta is sitting low and may end up blocking the birth canal when it comes to labour.  Nothing to worry about, but just needs some monitoring.
